Message from SLPSB: All SLPSB students in all zones will have a staggered entry on Wednesday, August 18th and Thursday, August 19th. All students will report to school on Friday, August 20th. Your school will send out a communication Monday, August 16th to let you know on which day your child(ren) will report. Please note that not all zones are using the same method to stagger their students on these days. (Ex. One zone may be staggering by address while another alphabetically.) Please wait to make arrangements for your child’s entry date until you have heard from your child’s school. Thanks for your understanding and patience. Have a wonderful and safe weekend!

The Centers for Disease Control recommends that everyone 12 years and older get a COVID-10 vaccine to protect against COVID-19. In an effort to increase the availability of vaccines to children in St. Landry Parish, the St. Landry Parish School Board formed a partnership with the Region 4 Office of Public Health and Local Pharmacies to offer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to students 12-years of age and older and to staff members. Two doses of the Pfizer vaccine are required. The 2nd dose will be given at the same location the 1st was received. Forms can be found at: http://www.slpsb.org/apps/pages/VACCINATION_CLINICS

NASA & SHELL Camp for 7th-12th Graders The NASA camp will be held in-person on July 12th-16th (9:30-2:30 Monday-Friday.) The SHELL camp will be held in-person on July 19th-23rd (9:30-2:30 Monday-Friday.) Arnaudville Middle students have been enjoying hands-on science activities during Camp Accelerate. Sixth grade scientists have been exploring electric & magnetic forces while 8th graders engaged in a fossil dig & used fossils as clues into the history of organisms of the past.
